Kenneth L.”Kenny” Severe, Lee’s Summit, formerly St. Joseph, died Monday at Willshire at the Lake in Lee’s Summit.

Mr. Severe was born on Nov. 20, 1924, in Pattonsburg.

He was a veteran of WWII, serving with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater.

Mr. Severe was a retired automobile salesperson and worked for 30 years at several major auto dealerships in the Kansas City area.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Opal Severe; sister, Lois Hulet; and son, Steven Keith Severe.

He is survived by his children, Kenneth W. Severe, St. Joseph; John R. Severe, Sioux City, Iowa; Patty Teaney, Gower; Mickey Boydston, Elwood, Kan.; and Christy Hampton, Raytown; brothers, Jack M. Severe, Cameron; and John W. Severe, Wichita, Kan.; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The body was cremated. There will be no visitation nor service.
