Bills were audited and paid.

The annual Memorandum of Agreement with the Green Hills Regional Planning Commission was executed.

Linda Bohannon met with the commission submitting information for a student at North Daviess School, eligible for assistance according to the Frazier Trust.

Jan Stout, Jamesport, met with the commission voicing concerns for the safety of children walking to and from their rural school on Major Avenue. She was informed that the commission has no problem with caution signs, purchased by the individuals, being placed along the roadway with the permission of Jackson Township and Jamesport Special Road District.

Vicki Corwin, public administrator, requested permission to store property of her wards and some records at the Lambert Building. Permission granted.

Mike Cottrell, landowner in Grand River Township, met with the commission regarding brush in Salem township and a drainage problem in Washington Township.

Tom Lowrey, Benton Township, met with the commission regarding the status of a road in Marion Township. He was informed that there is no apparent road at the site in question, as the federal government advertised and sold the property without public access.

Joe Reed, Harrison Township, met with the commission regarding road and brush problems in that township.

At 2 p.m. as advertised, sealed bids for the asphalt overlay on the Landmark Road, Prairie Avenue, in Jackson Township, were opened. Bids were received from Custom Asphalt paving, Norris Aggregates, and APAC-Missouri. Ron Urton, Shafer, Kline and Warren, will review the bids and make a recommendation. The matter was taken under advisement due to the fact that the lowest bid was an increase of over 50% since the last treatment in 2001.

Roger Morrison met with the commission with questions concerning the care and relocation of cemeteries located on private property. He was instructed to seek legal advice on the process and statutes involved.

David Tolen reported that he had attended a table-top exercise for emergency management training concerning predicted public health threats.
