Students in Mrs. Kim Brammer’s enrichment class celebrated Gifted Education Week (February 28 – March 4). The students have been learning about animal and human survival. As part of the survival unit, each child has a Madagascar hissing cockroach as a classroom pet. The enrichment students took their hissing cockroaches into all of the elementary classrooms and answered the students’ questions about their pets. The enrichment students also wrote and performed commercials for the elementary students. The goal of the commercial was to convince the audience that hissing cockroaches make good pets. Many members of the audience were convinced and wanted the information to order their own hissing cockroaches.
Members of the enrichment class are: Sara Lin, Alex Milholland, Michael Stanley, Rachel Rogers, Anthony Esposito, Bailey Morrison, Devlin Smith, Megan Avriette, Robert Carder, Derrick Lin, Dylan Rogers, Samantha Smith, Lauren Taylor, Dillon Axton, Michael Youd, Nicole Alliet, Tyler Avriette, and Bo Malo.
