Winston High School senior Cody Lang and junior Daniel Williams each reached the 1,000-point scoring plateau for their careers during the recently completed basketball season.
Lang finished the season on fire, with efforts of 27, 27, 29 and 29 points over his last four games. Lang, who scored 399 points in 2004-05, finished with 1,213 career points, ninth on the all-time WHS boys list. He also knocked down 135 three-pointers during his high school tenure, second all-time at WHS.
Williams scored 355 points this past season and will enter his senior season with 1,013 total points. He currently ranks 13th all-time in scoring at Winston High School.
