The month of March is an excellent time for pruning many fruit plants. A warm day in late winter provides a good opportunity for fruit growers to get outdoors and prune their plants. University of Missouri Extension — Andrew County will be sponsoring a pruning demonstration on Saturday, March 12, at 9:30 a.m. starting in the basement of the Andrew County Courthouse, at Savannah, then traveling to a local farm for the actual pruning demonstration.

For more information or to make a reservation for the demonstration call 816-324-3147, email [email protected] or stop by the Andrew County Extension office on the second floor of the Andrew County Courthouse.

Care and pruning of apples, peaches and grapes will be covered at the demonstration. The program will be limited to the first 20 people, so reserve your spot now! A small fee of $5 per person will be collected to cover the cost of educational materials and resources and morning refreshments.
