Memorial services for Bettie J. Valenti will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 11, at the Roberson Funeral Home in Bethany. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The body has been cremated. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa, Mt. Ayr, Iowa, in care of the funeral home.
Bettie J. Valenti, 50, of Eagle Grove, Iowa, formerly of Eagleville and Pattonsburg, died Sunday, March 6, 2005, at a Lamoni, Iowa, healthcare facility.
Mrs. Valenti was born Oct. 15, 1954, in Ottawa, Kan., the daughter of Lester, Jr., and June (Bell) Ruff.
A cook and seamstress, she was married to Donnie Valenti. He preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her father, Lester Ruff, Jr.; and her grandparents, Lester and Lois Ruff and Claude and Ester Bell.
Survivors include a daughter, Darbie Valenti, Rosendale; two sons, Cory Valenti, Eagleville, and Steven Valenti, Eagle Grove, Iowa; her mother, June Ruff; Eagleville; one sister, Lois Ann Ruff, Sweet Springs; one brother, Terry Ruff, Sweet Springs; and one grandchild.
