On Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005, the Area II FFA teachers met to select proficiency awards for 2005. Gallatin FFA advisors Dennis Croy and Chris Henderson submitted 46 applications for Gallatin FFA members.

Proficiency Awards are selected for student agriculture projects of SAEs. There are 50 possible areas that a student can apply in.
The Gallatin FFA Chapter had a record number of area winners. Several students who placed first will compete for state awards in April.
