County Commission

Bill Eckert, Jamesport Special Road District, met with the commission reporting problems in that district.

Eli Gingerich, a resident of Jamesport Special Road District, met with the commission submitting a petition, for the first reading, for the vacation of a road and also a petition for the establishment of a road. These petitions basically relocate a portion of the road intersecting State Routes 190 and RA.

Notice was received from MODOT of the allocation of federal funds for bridge number 31500341 over Grindstone Creek, BRO (26) Snyder and Associates was notified to proceed with cultural resource work.

The Jasper County Commission was contacted and agreed to trade BRO funds for soft match credits.

Roger Loxterman, City of Gallatin, met with the commission regarding the lights on the courthouse and the addition of a light on the veterans memorial. The city will install and the county will pay for the equipment.

Bob Epperson, state tax commission, met with the commission regarding reassessment and Board of Equalization training prior to the hearings.

Paul Smith, Colfax Township, met with the commission questioning CART mileage and brush problems. The commission will inspect.

Taxpayers from Jackson Township met with the commission with complaints on road conditions. They were directed to their township board.

David Tolen reported having chaired a Green Hills Regional Planning Commission meeting on Feb. 10. Presentations were heard from Missouri Department of Transportation, District One and District Two.

James Lewis, bridge supervisor, met with the commission reporting equipment maintenance.
