Feb. 13-19, 2005 is National FCCLA Week. Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, (FCCLA), a national student organization is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. Members gain leadership skills and benefit their family, future careers, and their community by being involved. Local chapter members have celebrated this week by:

Monday- “Steal my Heart” Day; Tuesday- filling out a Data Match survey, which allows students to me matched up by their common interests; Wednesday- wearing FCCLA chapter t-shirts and collecting change in the morning, which will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House; Thursday- Going on a field trip to the Ronald McDonald House and presenting them with 80 meals as part of a chapter service project. We will also be doing community service while our chapter is there; Friday- Member/Teacher Appreciation Day

FCCLA helps young people discover their leadership strengths. No matter what you want to do, or who you are, when you become part of FCCLA, you grow as a person. You become more of whoever it is that you want to be.
