Lance and Brandi Moritz exchanged wedding vows Jan. 15, 2005, at Sandy Beach, Oahu, Hawaii. The early morning beach ceremony was performed by Rev. Michael Nelson. The bride wore a white chiffon split-front empire A-line dress with beaded lace trim, featuring a sweep train, tiara and veil.

Brandi’s bouquet was made with fresh native flowers. Lance wore a sky blue shirt with a yellow T and linen pants.

Brandi and Lance stayed at the Turtle Bay Resort. They attended a luau, visited Pearl Harbor and other sites of the island. Upon their return home a reception was held at the Elks Lodge in Chillicothe, where the couple shared their Hawaiian wedding video with family and friends.

The couple’s parents are Carl and Sherri Carder of Gallatin, Lynn and the late Cleta Moritz of Chillicothe. Grandparents are Joe and Charlene Caraway, Conrad Carder and Phyllis Lollar of Gallatin, Phyllis Carder of Kansas City, Sam and Betty Bowling of Chillicothe, Howard and Bonnie Moritz of Chula and great-grandmother Alma Caraway of Gallatin.

Brandi is employed by US Foods as a sales specialist and Lance is a heavy equipment operator with Ballard Excavating. They reside at Platte City.
