Grand River Technical School, Chillicothe, has announced its annual post-secondary student scholarships for the 2004-2005 school year. Funds for the scholarships are provided by the Chillicothe Rotary Club, the Phillip Hall Memorial, the Robert and Helen Smith Memorial, Kenneth and Vicky Duckworth, local businesses, Grand River Technical School and the U.S. Department of Education. A total of $19,206 was awarded in scholarships this year.

The criteria for selection included exemplary attendance, work habits and attitude, and competencies or grades earned.

Recipients included Dean Talbott of Altamont, computer/networking, $500; John Bohannon of Jameson, ag diesel services technology, $500; Daniel Jackson of Jamesport, collision technology, $250; and Karl Robbins of Gallatin, industrial welding, $500.
