For the third year in a row the seventh graders at North Daviess R-3 have performed well enough on the MAP Test to rank their school among the Top Ten Schools recognized for sustained performance by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Schools were recognized for the percent of students scoring at the “proficient” and “advanced” levels based on a five year comparison, 2000-2004. Grade 7 at R-3 scored 48.2% proficiency in communication arts on the test last year. The state average was 32.6%.
Schools were grouped in size and North Daviess was among the schools with less than 250 students. There are about 300 schools of that size in the state.
