Daviess County Soil and Water Conservation District cost-share sign-up begins Tuesday, Feb. 1 at the USDA Service Center in Gallatin. District Cooperators/Landowners planning to complete a conservation practice and receive state financial assistance, need to apply during the month of February. Funds will be available July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006. New policies effective Jan. 1, 2005, regarding cost-share invoice $500 or more require a canceled checks, cashiers checks, money orders, or picture images. Bills in excess of $500 can not be paid in cash. February is the only time the district office takes regular cost-share applications.
