A Gallatin girl and two adults received minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident at about 2:15 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29, on I-35, according to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred as a vehicle driven by Teressa Carruth, 41, Leonardtown, Md., was northbound on I-35, ten miles south of Cameron, and came upon a vehicle driven by Lugo Juvenaz, 25, Springdale, Ark. Mr. Juvenaz’s vehicle was sideways of both lanes of the road and was struck by Mrs. Carruth’s vehicle in the passenger side. Her vehicle came to rest on the roadway and his vehicle came to rest in the median.
Mrs. Carruth and two passengers in the vehicle, her son Matthew Shuler, 15, Leonardtown Md, and Samantha Hanes, 13, Gallatin, were all taken by Cameron Ambulance to Cameron Regional Hospital with minor injuries. All were wearing their seat belts.
Mrs. Carruth’s 1998 Ford Escort was totaled and towed by Dawson’s Towing of Holt. Lugo Juvenza’s 1994 Dodge Dakota was totaled and towed by Scotty’s of Cameron.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. J. Zach, assisted by Clinton County Sheriff.
