Captain Johnnie B. Hoggatt, Commanding Officer of Troop H in St. Joseph, announces that Trooper Tyson B. Gardner has been promoted to the rank of Corporal and will remain in St. Joseph. Corporal Gardner will transfer from Zone 5 to Zone 6, both of these Zones encompass the Andrew and Buchanan Counties of the Troop H area.

Corporal Gardner began his career with the Patrol in 1998 assigned to Zone 10 at Gallatin. In 2003 he transferred to Zone 5 in St. Joseph where he remained until now.

Corporal Gardner is a native of St. Joseph and is a 1994 graduate of Central High School. He also graduated from Missouri Western in 1998 and holds a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. Corporal Gardner is married to the former Toni Dudik, also of St. Joseph.

Corporal Michael P. Quilty has been promoted to the rank of Sergeant and has transferred from Zone 3 in Bethany to Zone 1 at Mound City. Sergeant Quilty is an eight-year veteran of the Patrol. He started his career with the Patrol in 1997 in Zone 2 at Maryville. In December of 2002, Sergeant Quilty was promoted to the rank of Corporal and transferred from Maryville to Bethany.

Sergeant Quilty is a native of Trenton and graduated from high school there. He also holds a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from Missouri Western State College. Sergeant Quilty is married to the former Tommye Everly also of Trenton. The couple have two children.
