Perry Macy, 80, died Monday, Dec. 27 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City.

Funeral services for Perry Macy will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Friends may call after 10 a.m. today (Wednesday). Burial will be at Centenary Cemetery, Gallatin. Memorials may be made to the Gallatin Presbyterian Church or Gallatin Senior Citizens Center.
Perry Macy, 80, died Monday, Dec. 27 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City.
Mr. Macy was born July 7, 1924, to Seth and Mayte “Weldon” Macy in Gallatin. He attended and graduated from Gallatin High School in 1942. After graduation he attended the University of Missouri in Columbia.
On Nov. 24, 1948, he married Barbara Minnick at the home of Harry and Julia Bills in Excelsior Springs. The Macys made their home on a farm near Gallatin where Perry farmed and was a partner in a dairy operation with his brother Weldon and father Seth. In 1976, his son Greg joined the operation and they became sole owners of the dairy in 1981.
He was a member of the Gallatin Presbyterian Church and the Odd Fellows.
Mr. Macy was preceded n death by one sister Mary Elizabeth.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Barbara, of the home; one son, Greg Macy, Gallatin; one brother, Weldon Macy, Cameron; one sister, Marjorie Rutledge, Dallas, Texas; and four grandchildren.
