Two people were injured in a one vehicle accident at about 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 21, about one mile east of Altamont.

The accident occurred as Stanley Bridger, 18, Cameron, was eastbound on Hwy. 6. His vehicle crossed the center line, drove off the north side of the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned, coming to rest on its top.

Mr. Bridger and a passenger, Kasandra Meza, 16, Cameron, were both taken by Daviess County Ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. They were both wearing their seat belts.

The 2005 Chevrolet PC was totaled and towed by Scotty’s of Cameron.

The accident was investigated by Tpr. J.R. Johnston, assisted by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department.

Summons for failure to drive on right half of roadway.

A Coffey man was injured in a one vehicle accident at about 6:30 a.m. on Rt. V four miles east of Gallatin in Daviess County.

The accident occurred as Mark Shaul, 41, Coffey, was southbound and lost control on a curve covered with ice. The vehicle traveled off the east side of the roadway and struck an embankment where it came to rest.

Mr. Shaul was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center by Daviess County ambulance with minor injuries. He was wearing his seat belt.

The 1996 Chevrolet was extensively damaged and towed by Bridgemans of Altamont.

The accident was investigated by Tpr. J.P Lynch.

No summons.
