Recount in commissioner’s race finalizes incumbent’s race

On Dec. 17, a recount of votes cast in the General Election for Daviess County District 1 County Commissioner was conducted. Four disinterested voters were sworn in to do the recount, which was conducted on the voting machine. The report of the election judges showed final results of David Cox with 911 votes and David Holcomb with 916. The court declared David Holcomb the winner of the District 1 County Commissioner’s race. Costs were taxed to David Cox.

Criminal cases filed: State of Missouri vs. Leslie A. Hon, child molestation, 1st degree, Class B felony;

State of Missouri vs. Brandon Ray Anderson, murder 1st degree, Class A felony, kidnaping, Class B felony, armed criminal action, felony. Arraignment was set for Jan. 6.

Civil cases filed: Shane Allen O’Dell vs. Michelle Renee O’Dell, dissolution.
