Law Day was conducted Dec. 9 by Judge Stephen Griffin. The following cases were heard:
Dissolutions were granted to Debra Melitta Simpson from David Lee Simpson, with her maiden name Romesburg restored.
In State of Missouri vs. Randy D. Bowen, the defendant had plead guilty Aug. 5 to one count of possession of a controlled substance, Class C felony, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, Class A misdemeanor. The imposition of sentence was suspended on the felony charge, and he was placed on five years probation. On the misdemeanor count, he was fined $250.
In State vs. Donnie A. Swartz, probation was revoked on two counts of knowingly burning, Class D felony, originally filed in 1996. The previously imposed four-year sentence was executed.
