Funeral services for Samuel Milligan were held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the First Baptist Church in Kearney. Burial was at Cameron Memory Gardens. Arrangements were by Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the college education fund for Sam’s grandchildren.

Samuel Glenn Milligan, 63, Kearney, died on Dec. 5, 2004, at his home.

Mr. Milligan was born on Sept. 24, 1941, in Cameron, to Teddy and Lille (Patterson) Milligan.

He was a 1959 graduate of Hamilton High School.

Mr. Milligan was currently employed by National Starch and Chemical for the last 19 years previously owned by Corn Products, where he was employed for 25 years, for a total of 44 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Charles and Albert Milligan.

Mr. Milligan married Judith Beydler on June 4, 1977, in Gladstone. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include three sons, Allen Milligan, Kearney, and Eric Frazer and Chad Milligan, Kansas City; one daughter, Tammy Kinney, Overland Park, Kan.; and Jennifer Bixler who was loved like a daughter, of Kansas City; seven sisters, Jessie Gilby, Lebanon, Mary Lou Leach and Connie Puterbaugh, Cameron, Margurite Allsup and Nancy Milligan, Hamilton, Frances Bradley and Sharon Bradley, Gallatin, mother-in-law; and four grandchildren.
