Funeral services for Leonard Wrex, 80, were held Dec. 3 at the National Memorial Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kan.

Leonard Jewel “Jude” Wrex died Dec. 1 at the V.A. Hospital in Kansas City.

Mr. Wrex was born Oct. 4, 1924, to Wesley and Dollie (Nelson) Wrex at Cameron.

He was a World War II veteran of the Army and served in Normandy, Northern France and Central Europe.

Mr. Wrex was an over the road truck driver for T.G.Y and E.F.D. and delivered parts for North Country Ford at Cameron.

He as a member of the Highway Christian Church of Bethany.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Pete, Oscar, John and Willard; and four sisters, Kate, Irene, Rita and Laura.

Survivors include wife Patsy of the home; one daughter, Cathy Raymond of St Joseph; a stepson, Rob Harris of Liberty; a brother, Bud Gibson of Cameron; two sisters, Barbara Jordison of Raytown, and Blanch Gilbert of Shannon City, Iowa; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren; and mother-in-law, Ina Jones, of Gallatin.
