Funeral services for T.J. Adams will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, at Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery, Hamilton. There is no formal visitation. Memorials may be made to his church.
Tyler James “T.J.” Adams, 98, Hamilton, died Nov. 23, 2004, at a nursing home in Hamilton.
Born on Oct. 23, 1906, in Daviess County, to Wilson Tyler and Alma N. Sears Adams, he had attended school in Daviess County, Hamilton and Lawrence, Kan. He lived most of his life in the Hamilton area.
Mr. Adams was a retired farmer and had served 12 years as Western Commissioner of the County Court. He was widely known for his sign painting and lettering.
Mr. Adams was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hamilton. He had served 21 years as Sunday School Secretary-Treasurer. He was a city councilman and a member of the Lion’s Club.
On Dec. 5, 1929, he married Ruby Frances Hinds in Leavenworth, Kan. She preceded him in death in 1998.
Survivors include one brother, Lindley Adams, Hamilton.
