Two make all-district band; two receive honorable mention
Ashley Cameron and Becca Bowland made the Northwest Missouri All-District Junior High Band. Ashley is a seventh grader and placed 16th chair clarinet. Becca is an eighth grader and placed 10th chair trumpet. Rachel Hopkins, seventh grade, received honorable mention for the percussion section as well as Keith Urban for the High School All-District Band. The students competed against 28 other schools in St. Joseph on Nov. 6.

The following students traveled to Gilman City on Wednesday, Nov. 17, for tryouts for the HDC Honor Band: Chelsey Lowrey, second chair clarinet; Ashley Cameron; third chair clarinet; Charity Lewis, fourth chair clarinet; Heather Allee, sixth chair flute; Becca Bowland, third chair trumpet; Travis Lowrey, first chair trombone; Mike Foster, second chair trombone; Haley Slessman, third chair trombone; Keith Urban, first chair percussion; Rachel Hopkins, second chair percussion; Lindsey Lambert, sixth chair percussion; Michael Lewis, seventh chair percussion.
