Mary Jo Williams McQuinn Sprague, 78, St. Joseph, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, at a Maryville Hospital.
Funeral services for Mary Jo Sprague will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Wyatt Park Christian Church. Interment will be at Bethel Cemetery, St. Joseph. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Meierhoffer Family Funeral Service, where friends may call after 9 a.m. Friday. Mrs. Sprague will be removed from Meierhoffer Family Funeral Service to arrive at the church one hour prior to the service. The family suggests memorial gifts to Lewy-Body Dementia Association Inc., P.O. Box 11390, Tempe, Ariz., 85284-0024.

Mrs. Sprague retired from Sears, Roebuck and Co. with 23 years of service, 11 years as advertising manager and 12 years as personnel assistant.
Born Nov. 8, 1926, in Buchanan County to Charles P. and Elva (Dittemore) Williams, she was valedictorian of the class of 1944 at Benton High School.
Mrs. Sprague was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Edwin W. Sprague.
She was a member of the Midwest Artist Association and had studied watercolors with Janice O’Quinn, oils with Don Andorfer in St. Joseph and pastels with Don Weber in Tucson, Ariz., winning awards at Heartland Hospital’s “Art For The Health of It” competition and at Midwest Artists’ semi-annual shows at East Hills Mall.
Survivors include one daughter, Margo Feiden, Gallatin; one son, Terry McQuinn, Atlanta, Ga.; stepdaughters, Carol Curley, St. Joseph, and Kathy Morgan, Albany; stepsons, Ronald Sprague, Mesa, Ariz., and Jeffrey Sprague, St. Joseph; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; and eight step great-grandchildren.
