Graveside services with military rites for John Hardin were held Saturday at Blakely Cemetery, Easton, under the direction of Breit & Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. For online condolences visit: www.breit-hawkins.com.
John “Frank” Hardin, 82, Savannah, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, in Cameron.
Mr. Hardin was born May 26, 1922, in McFall, the son of William and Maud (Bodenall) Hardin and was a former resident of the Pattonsburg area.
A World War II Army veteran, Mr. Hardin was the recipient of a Purple Heart and five Bronze Stars.
Before his retirement, John had been employed for 32 years with Schreiber Mills in St. Joseph. He formerly worked for the Pattonsburg Cap Factory.
John was a deacon at the former First Baptist Church in Rosendale.
On Jan. 4, 1952, he married Zella Mae Plymell. She preceded him in death in 2002.
Mr. Hardin was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Caitlin Cook; three sisters; and six brothers.
Survivors include his daughter, Lana Cook, St. Joseph; and three grandchildren.
