About 500 pounds of cultivated marijuana plants were recently destroyed by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol as part of the statewide marijuana eradication program. A wagon load of marijuana was weighed at Gallatin Grain Company on Oct. 29. Due to inclement weather, it was later destroyed at a local saw mill. Sheriff Kevin Heldenbrand would not reveal where the plants were found, as the investigation is still ongoing
