Civil cases filed: Altegra Credit Corp., vs. all heirs, devisees, successors, and assignees of Charlene A. Kirk, deceased, et al., petition for quiet title.

Law Day was conducted Oct. 21 by Judge Stephen K. Griffin. The following cases were heard:

Two name changes were granted. James David Eyre was granted a change to James David Monet, and Paige Nichole Eyre was granted a change to Paige Nichole Monet.

Dissolutions of marriage were granted to Brian Scott Johnson from Stacey DeLynn Johnson with her maiden name Rhoades restored, and to Kathleen Alice Owens from Robert Eugene Owens.

In State of Missouri vs. Tammy J. Thomas, the defendant entered a guilty plea on a plea agreement for passing bad checks, Class D felony. She was sentenced to four years in the Department of Corrections, sentence to run concurrently with a DeKalb County case. The execution of sentence was suspended, and she was placed on five years probation.

Jennifer Nicole Brown entered a guilty plea on a plea agreement to hindering prosecution, Class D felony and assault third degree, Class A misdemeanor. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered.

Amey M. Wooldridge plead guilty on a plea agreement to possession of controlled substance, Class C felony. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered.

In State of Missouri vs. Stephen W. Swofford, a pre-sentence investigation was filed on a Class D felony charge of DWI. He was sentenced to four years in the Department of Corrections and will participate in an intensive treatment program. He is to report to the sheriff on Nov. 18, 2004.

A pre-sentence investigation was filed for Cindy L. Newton for the Class D felony of DWI. She was sentenced to four years in the Department of Corrections, execution of sentence suspended, and five years supervised probation.

A warrant was issued for Brandon D. Bennett, who failed to appear for a probation violation hearing on a felony charge of passing bad checks. Bond was set at $20,000 cash.

Probation was revoked for Stephen M. Endahl at a probation revocation hearing for burglary 2nd degree, Class C felony. His previously imposed five year sentence was ordered executed.

In State vs. Rickey Dean Mills, the defendant admitted marijuana use at the probation revocation hearing. He was ordered to serve 30 days shock jail time, and probation was continued on the original charge of possession of a controlled substance, Class C felony.

Byron Ray Dickerson admitted using cocaine and failing to report to his probation officer at his probation revocation hearing. He was ordered to serve the previously imposed five-year sentence in the Department of Corrections for the original charge of burglary 1st degree, Class C felony.

In State vs. Michael Joe Dunks, the defendant admitted probation violations at a probation violation hearing for an original charge of no valid license, Class D felony, and misdemeanor DWI. Probation was revoked and a new five-year supervised probation invoked.

Bennie Charles Sutton admitted violations at his probation violation hearing. Probation was revoked, and his previously imposed three-year sentence was ordered executed for the Class D felony of DWI.

Gerald J. Loftin plead guilty to criminal non-support, Class D felony, on a plea agreement. The court suspended the imposition of sentence, and he was placed on five years probation, supervised by court.

In State vs. Terry L. Claessen, the defendant admitted violations at his probation violation hearing. Probation was revoked, and the five-year sentence previously imposed was executed on an original charge of unlawful transport of a controlled substance with a minor, Class B felony.
