Three, almost four, burglaries occur overnight on Oct. 14

The Sheriff’s Office is now investigating several incidents that occurred during the evening of Oct. 14. The Country Cupboard, Tri-County R-7 School, and the Suds and Shine Car Wash in Jamesport were burglarized, and Bridgeman’s Wrecker Service reported property damage.

At the Country Cupboard, the front door was kicked in and the money drawer from the cash register and the donation box were taken. At the Jamesport school, subjects broke the window out of a steel door to gain entry, then pried another lock inside and took some FFA money. Property damage occurred at Bridgeman’s Wrecker Service in Altamont, but it is believed the subjects left when the alarm went off after they kicked in the door.

Suspects actually attempted to break into the coin machine at the Suds and Shine Car Wash in Jamesport on Oct. 13, but the following evening they successfully broke into the machine and took the money. These incidents are under continuing investigation.

Jerry Romazon, 46, Kearney was arrested Oct. 18, charged with attempt to commit the offense of manufacturing a controlled substance, Class B felony. Her bond has been set at $50,000. Identical charges were filed against both Romazon and Glenda Bailey of Lincoln on Aug. 30, following an investigation in November, 2003, by the Nitro Force and the Highway Patrol which led to a duplex in Gallatin where items used to manufacture methamphetamine were found.

Steven Loxterman, 35, Pattonsburg, was arrested Oct. 10 on probation violations for an original charge of felony DWI. He is being held at Midwest Security Housing on $5,000 bond.

William J. Lybarger, 17, Winston, was arrested Oct. 11 for felony stealing on a DeKalb County warrant. He is being held by DeKalb County on $4,000 bond.

A 35-year-old Jameson woman was charged Oct. 18 with possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of driving while suspended, misdemeanors. She posted $950 bond.

A 31-year-old Lawson man was charged Oct. 17 with misdemeanor failure to appear and failure to pay costs. He is being held at Mid Missouri Security Housing on $300 bond.

A 39-year-old Weatherby man was arrested Oct. 8 for a misdemeanor traffic violation warrant in St. Charles County. He posted $250 bond.

A 27-year-old Minneapolis, Minn., woman was arrested Oct. 16 for speeding 107 mph in a 70 mph zone. She posted $350 bond.

A 27-year-old Winston man was arrested Oct. 15 for driving while suspended. He was held 20 hours and then released from Midwest Security Housing.

A 28-year-old Adrian man was arrested Oct. 15 on a probation violation for DWI. He posted $250 bond.

A 19-year-old Trenton man was arrested Oct. 18 for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge of driving while suspended. He is being held in Grundy County on both their charges and Daviess County charges. Bond was set at $500.

A 22-year-old Kansas City woman was arrested Oct. 16 for misdemeanor speeding 106 mph in a 70 mph zone and no valid license. She posted $425 bond.

A 24-year-old Cameron man was charged Oct. 18 with the Class A misdemeanor of stealing. He posted $250 bond.

A 25-year-old Kansas City man was arrested Oct. 16 for DWI, Class B misdemeanor. He posted $500 bond.

A 47-year-old Winston man was charged Oct. 17 with domestic assault, Class A misdemeanor. He is being held at Midwest Security Housing on $500 bond.

Floyd Maxx of Winston reported the theft of tools, fishing equipment, and miscellaneous items from his pickup which was parked in Gallatin on Oct. 18.

Sandra S. Hogan of Jamesport reported Oct. 18 that her windshield had been shattered by a large rock sometime during the night.
