James Lewis, bridge supervisor, met with the commission reporting that a small bridge had been replaced with a tube in Colfax Township. Also, repairs, have been made to bridges in Salem and Harrison Townships.

Bob Clark, Colfax Township, met with the commission concerning his 2002 personal property assessment. Mr. Clark asked that the penalties be reduced. The commission will consult with the assessor and treasurer before making a decision.
As advertised, the budget hearing was held to amend the 2004 budget of the cannon restoration fund to account for the sale of bricks for the Veterans Walk Memorial. This amendment was necessary because at budget time the “walkway” had not been considered. Linda Adkins, Julia Filley, and Georgia Maxwell were in attendance. Danny Heldenbrand moved to amend the budget, increasing both revenues and expenses. The motion passed unanimously. The appropriation order will follow.
Bills were audited and paid.
Mike Arnold and Liz Wilkinson met with the commission concerning sidewalks for the Veterans Memorial. No decisions were made.
Sherri Croy, Extension Office, met with the commission submitting the bids for carpeting. Danny Heldenbrand moved to accept the bid from Steve Holcomb at $2,676. The motion was approved unanimously.
