Grand River Conference softball tri-champion Gallatin landed four players on the league’s all-star list selected Tuesday night by GRC coaches. Senior catcher Kelsie Parker and freshman pitcher Lacey Dixon were both unanimous first team picks. Senior secondbaseman/pitcher Lindsey Robertson and junior rightfielder Katie Jarboe were awarded second team honors.
Parker, a 4-time all-conference softball honoree, led the Lady Bulldogs in hitting (.373), stolen bases (19), doubles (6) and triples (4). She scored 13 runs and drove in nine. Her 13 assists behind the plate were among the league’s best.
Dixon quickly established herself as one of the premier pitchers in the league. She struck out 153 of the 487 batters she faced in 125 innings, and walked only 16 batters over the entire season. She finished with a miniscule 0.39 earned run average and record of 13-5. She held Maysville to a pair of runs in a 2-0 loss, and lost 1-0 decisions to Lawson, Hamilton and South Harrison. Dixon helped her cause at the plate by hitting .282 on the season, with a team-best 15 runs scored, seven rbi, three doubles, three triples and eight stolen bases.
Jarboe hit .338 with two doubles, one triple, nine stolen bases, seven rbi and 14 runs scored. With over 40 put-outs and assists from the outfield, she did not make an entire over the course of the 22-game season.
Robertson batted .268 with a team-high 10 runs batted in, seven runs scored, two doubles and a triple.
