Biology and Ag class team up

Park near Trenton on Sept. 20.

Mr. Steigerwalt’s Biology class and Mr. Croy’s Ag II class went on a field trip to Crowder Park near Trenton on Sept. 20. Over 30 sophomore students attended the activity which allowed students hands-on learning in the natural environment. The students spent the morning collecting leaves and identifying various trees at the park. They are working on leaf collections to learn about classification groups and the use taxonomic keys. They also will prepare for various Ag competitions later in the year. The students are also doing an insect collection for both Biology and Ag II. A few students enjoyed the nearby Thompson River in the afternoon.
