Michael Bailey, the former Gallatin police officer acquitted of 27 felony statutory rape and sodomy charges in May, is scheduled for trial in Livingston County on Oct. 7 on six misdemeanor charges. A change of venue to Caldwell County was approved for three other misdemeanor charges but these charges will also be included in Thursday’s session, as Judge Brent Elliott is the assigned judge for all nine misdemeanors.
The misdemeanor charges to be heard Oct. 7 in Livingston County are as follows: sexual misconduct first degree, Class A misdemeanor, sexual misconduct third degree, Class C misdemeanor, three counts of assault third degree, Class C misdemeanor, one count of supplying liquor to a minor; and three charges of assault (from Caldwell County).
