We would like to take this opportunity to recognize the media and the public for their support of Camp Quality Northwest Missouri (NWMO).
This year, we had 107 children attend camp, as well as approximately 450 volunteers. Each and every person made Camp Quality NWMO truly great. We would not be able to give these children with cancer a chance to be children again if it were not for the dedication and love each companion, staff member, media person, donor and supporter has shown through the gift of love…”themselves”…in creating the partnership a charity needs to continue its work!
Our journey at Camp Quality NWMO is to continue to reach 115 children (yes, five more children due to financial and loving support in any way shown to us this past year) to continue to make smiles that last all year. It is those smiles that create “Camp Quality Moments” that sustain our children through hospital visits or daily activities. For many children, that difference gives them courage and fosters new friendships with our CQ family that brightens the child’s day. Your help truly is a labor of love.
The community support in fund-raisers was beyond dreams and allows us to plan for our 20th camp next year. We invite you to join the team of love for children with cancer. One of their echoes this year from the 16 graduates was “it is more important to graduate from Camp Quality than my own high school and thanks for the week to just be a kid touched by loving people and we are coming back in 2006 as companions!” What a circle of love you have created and we hope you feel the heartbeat of Camp Quality.
