An Iowa man received moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident on I-35 in Daviess County at about 7:50 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 20, according to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred as Marion Detweiler, 79, Williamsburg, Iowa, was southbound on I-35. At Route TT, about five miles north of Cameron, his vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a drain culvert and overturned, coming to rest on its wheels on the west side.

Mr. Detweiler was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center. He was wearing his seat belt.

The 1990 Ford F150 pickup was totaled and towed by Scottys.

The accident was investigated by Sgt. Mark Ott, assisted by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department.
