Improvements are underway at the Daviess County Library, with the removal of the old and broken concrete north of the main parking lot. Once removed, black dirt will replace the concrete, drainage tubes will be added, grass planted, and a new, lighted sign set. The sign will be visible from both directions of Grand Street. Brian Nail of Nail Backhoe Service is donating the backhoe, concrete and tube work. Larry Johnson of Johnson Trucking is donating the use of a truck for removal of the old concrete, and has donated and will haul the new fill dirt. [Staff Photo/TLH]
