Funeral services for Paul Kimmel, formerly of Winston, were Friday at D.W. Newcomer’s & Sons White Chapel Funeral Home in Gladstone. The body was cremated. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Winston United Methodist Church, or Faubion United Methodist Church, 7113 N. Troost, Gladstone, Mo., 64118.

Mr. Kimmel was born Feb. 28, 1912, in Chicago, Ill., to Charles E. and Elsie (Shriver) Kimmel. He spent his school years in Sheldon, Iowa, graduating in 1931.
He was a former business owner of Kimmel Electric in Sheldon. He retired from the Ford Motor Co. as a maintenance technician.
Mr. Kimmel was a former Lion member and a Mason for 50 years. He established the Winston Historic Society and was the building chairman of Faubion U.M.C., as well as, a member of the Winston U.M.C.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Ronnie; three brothers; grandson, Loren; and daughter-in-law Darlene.
Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Mildred; one daughter, Charlotte Apple; two sons, Larry and Roger; one sister Esther Alexander; 14 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
