The Gallatin High School 2004 Homecoming will be on Oct. 1. This year’s theme is “Video Games.” All businesses are invited to participate in a window decorating contest. If you wish to participate, please let Mrs. McNeely or Mrs. Critten know by Thursday, Sept. 30. The windows will be judged after school on Friday, Oct. 1, and winners will be announced at half-time of the football game. There will be three categories for floats: senior high (10-12), junior high (7-9), and community. Winners will be announced at half-time of the football game. A community plaque will be displayed at the winning business.
Homecoming coronation will be before the game, Friday, Oct. 1, on the football field. It will begin at 5:45 p.m.
King and queen candidates are as follows: juniors: Hattie Rains and Daniel Horvatin, Trisha Sprague and Dillon Bird; seniors: Emily Gay and Chris Barnes, Lindsey Robertson and Sean Wood; STUCO: Kinsey Batson and Adam Strein.
The 2004 Homecoming parade will leave the high school at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 1, arriving up town at 2:15 p.m. The elementary will go as classes to downtown to watch the parade. The high school will be dismissed at 1:30 p.m. The parade line-up will be in the high school parking lot. If any one would like to submit an entry, please call the high school and let Mrs. McNeely or Mrs. Critten know by Thursday, Sept. 30, at noon.
The Homecoming game will begin at 7 p.m. against the Albany Warriors.
The Homecoming dance will be held immediately following the game on Friday night in the high school gym. The DJ will be Music Video To Go. There will be a video screen and door prizes. The times will be approximately 9:45 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. The gym will not be open until 9:40 p.m. Admission will be $3 per person or $5 per couple. There will be a closed door policy. Anyone leaving will not be allowed to return to the dance. Picture envelopes may be picked up in the office the week of Homecoming. Jesscott Images from Cameron will be taking pictures.
