Cody J. Gilreath, 26, Gallatin, is in custody on a felony warrant issued by the United States District Court in connection with an incident Aug. 15 west of Gallatin, when Deputy Kevin Lawson responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle at Terry Implement Company. Deputies discovered illegal firearms in the vehicle and inside Gilreath’s residence. Ammunition and drug paraphernalia were also found. Gilreath has been charged as a felon in possession of a firearm. The investigation has been turned over to the NITRO force.

John Kent McBroom, 37, Hamilton, was arrested Aug. 14 on a felony parole warrant for violations of his parole, and he was transported back to the Department of Corrections.
Deputies responded to an incident in southeastern Daviess County on Aug. 14. During the initial investigation, a search yielded an illegal firearm and ammunition. After a search warrant was issued, precursors for the making of methamphetamine were discovered. Members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, NITRO, and the North Central Missouri Drug Task Force were contacted for assistance during the investigation and cleanup. Charges are pending at this time.
Brandon Bennett, 25, Fulton, was arrested Aug. 10 for probation violations, Class D felony, on an original charge of passing bad checks. He posted $5,000 bond.
A 21-year-old man was arrested Aug. 11 for passing bad checks, Class A misdemeanor. He posted $200 bond.
A 17-year-old Cave Creek, Ariz., man was arrested Aug. 11 for misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, marijuana. He posted $500 bond.
A 27-year-old Kansas City, Kan., man was arrested Aug. 16 for misdemeanor no valid license. He posted $150 bond.
