Preliminary hearings set for two murder suspects

Preliminary hearings have been set for two men accused of the murder of a McFall man. Brandon Anderson, 22, and Kevin Harmon, 38, both of Pattonsburg, have each been charged with murder in the first degree, kidnapping, and armed criminal action, all felonies, in the death of Steven D. Lawrence on Aug. 4. The preliminary hearing will be conducted for Harmon on at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 10 and for Anderson at 9 a.m. Sept. 17 in the Associate Division of the Daviess County Circuit Court.

Preliminary hearings will be set for Charles Corder of Coffey, Jennifer Brown of McFall, and Jessica Hartley of Pattonsburg, at 9 a.m. on Sept. 13, which is a regular court day. Corder is accused of stabbing Casey Anderson of Pattonsburg, who is the brother of Brandon Anderson, on July 24. Brown and Hartley are accused of hindering prosecution in the investigation of the July 24 stabbing incident.
