Captain Johnnie B. Hoggatt, Commanding Officer of Troop H in St. Joseph, announces the assignments of new troopers to Troop H and promotions. Two troopers in our area have been promoted and one new trooper assigned.
Corporal Scott A. Shipers has been promoted to the rank of Sergeant and designated Zone Commander of Zone 7, at Cameron. Sergeant Shipers is an 8-year veteran of the Patrol and a native of Gallatin where he graduated from high school. Sergeant Shipers holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Truman State University. He is married to the former Andrea Trussell of Tina.
Trooper Paul M. Kimball has been promoted to the rank of Corporal and designated Assistant Zone Commander of Zone 10, at Gallatin. Corporal Kimball is a 10-year veteran of the Patrol. He is a native of Long Beach, California and graduated from Valley Christian High School. Corporal Kimball is married to the former Adrienne Noles of Lake Wood, California. The couple has 2 children.
Trooper Joshua R. Zach, age 23, has been assigned to Zone 8, in Hamilton. Trooper Zach is a graduate of Rock Port High School and is a native of Hamburg, Iowa. He also holds an Associates degree in Building Construction from South East Community College in Milford, Nebraska. Prior to his employment with the Patrol, he was employed as a deputy with the Atchison County Sheriff’s Department. Trooper Zach is married to the former Tasha Gibbons of Westboro.
