Funeral services for Lyman Wiglesworth were held Friday at the Bram Funeral Home in Maysville. Burial was at Alta Vista Cemetery, east of Weatherby. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Lyman Eugene Wiglesworth, 71, Wathena, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, at a health-care center in St. Joseph.
Mr. Wiglesworth was born April 1, 1933, to David Edward and Margaret Lucille (Allcock) Wiglesworth at Weatherby. He had been a resident of Wathena for 19 years.
He was a heavy equipment operator and was a member of the Operating Engineers H&P Union Local No. 101 of St. Joseph.
In 1951, he married Lila Louise Rhoad at Orleans, Neb. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include one son, David Eugene; two daughters, Elaine Riley and Marsha Thornton; two brothers, Donald and Marvin; three sisters, Opal Baxter, Hattie Strong and Wilma Helms; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
