The District Governor and his wife will be attending the Gallatin Rotary meeting on Aug. 24, according to minutes from the club’s business meeting held yesterday.

In other business at the Tuesday, Aug. 3, meeting, the past year’s programs were reviewed and discussion was held regarding continuing each activity. A new committee roster was handed out.

A new name was proposed for membership. None opposed. New members are welcome.

Katie Ketchum said the Knee Hi Boy’s Club wants to help with “Shoes for Orphans” when it comes time to work on the project.

Discussion was held on upcoming projects. Doyle Patton said it was time for crayons for Head Start. Recommendations were made to participate in the Chautauqua. All members were in favor of the project. Julia Filley will be the chairperson and will reserve booth space.

Also discussed was the availability of Rotarian club shirts and meeting rooms.

The Gallatin Rotary Club held their business meeting on Aug. 3 at Breadeaux in Gallatin with 12 members attending.
