Funeral services for Scott Ellis were held Monday at Pilot Grove No. 1 Baptist Church in Gilman City. Burial with Masonic Rites was held at Pilot Grove No. 2 Cemetery in Jamesport. Arrangements were by Roberson Funeral Home, Gilman City. Memorials may be made to the Cameron Hospice.
Scott Ellis, 76, Gilman City, died Thursday, July 1, 2004.
Mr. Ellis was born on Oct. 2, 1927, in Melbourne, the son of Leonard and Nettie Jane (Scott) Ellis.
On Nov. 25, 1945, he married Norma Lee Puls. She died on June 29, 1995.
Mr. Ellis as a lifelong farmer in the Gilman City area.
He was a member of the Gilman City Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite of Kansas City and the Gilman City Lions Club.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Ellis was also preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Appleby, and four brothers, Cecil, Ray, Paul and Bob.
Survivors include two sons, Stan of Gallatin and Ron of Lamar; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
