Graveside service and burial for Retha Miller, grandmother of Allen Yates of Gallatin, were held Friday at Grandview Cemetery, Albany. Arrangements were by Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany. Memorials may be made to Northwest Medical Center in care of the funeral home, 403 N. Hundley, Albany, 64402.

Mrs. Miller was born on Jan. 12, 1919, in Albany to James and Edna (Hopkins) Howell.
She worked as a secretary for veterinarians in Albany and Bethany.
Mrs. Miller was a member of the Albany First Baptist Church.
On March 11, 1937, she married R. Norwood Miller. He died on Jan. 28, 1985.
Mrs. Miller was also preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond, Claude, Ernest and Roe; and a sister, Katie Neal.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Simpson of Albany; and Patricia Brooks of Texas; one other grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
