David Holcomb reported that he had accompanied SEMA (State Emergency Management Agency), FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency), and SBA (Small Business Administration on Friday, June 4, to inspect tornado damage in the county. Also, he had met with Kirby Payne on June 3 at Farm Services Agency. FSA will report total amount of damages on barns, machine sheds, fences, livestock and other agricultural losses to SEMA.

Bill Eckert, Jamesport Special Road District, met with the commission reporting road problems on 292nd Street and requesting a proceed order for delivery of CART rock.

Bills were audited and paid.

At 11 a.m. as advertised, sealed bids for BRO project (23) were opened. Bids were received from Irvinbilt Co., $547,572.80; G.C. Construction Co., $830.951.50; L.G. Barcus, $579,790.82; Bestgen Inc., 507,225.00; Widel Inc., $503,745.60; Sharp’s Excavating LLC, $490.021.00; and Boone Construction Co., $487.938.10. Mark Huck, Harrington and Cortelyou, will inspect the bids and authorize acceptance at a later date.

Notice was received from Missouri Department of Transportation of the approval of the soft match transfer of $200,000 from Audrain County, traded for $100,000 in BRO funds from Daviess County.

The county clerk reported having attended a meeting regarding polling place accessibility. The Region I Council on Developmental Disabilities will conduct a survey prior to Aug. 1, 2004.

Great River Engineering Co. met with the commission submitting their engineering qualifications.
