James Lewis, bridge supervisor, met with the commission reporting that he and Shannon McCrary had worked Sunday and Monday on cleanup in Jefferson Township following the devastating tornado on Saturday, May 29. The DeKalb County Commission made a request for assistance with our equipment and personnel across the road in that county, according to our mutual aid agreement. The bridge crew will move to Benton and Marion Townships today.

The transfer agreement was received from Audrain County, trading soft match credits for BRO funds.

Notification was received from the State Tax Commission of the consumer price index set at 2.3%

Much of the morning was spent preparing data for the State Emergency Management Agency.

In the afternoon, the commission traveled through Jefferson, Marion, Benton and Salem Townships with Don Carter and Steve Chevans, SEMA, following the path of the May 29 tornado. The representatives were interested in damage to residences and buildings, but not to outside structures.
