Funeral services for Auron Cozad were held Saturday at the Hamilton United Methodist Church.
Arrangements were by Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton. Interment was at Highland Cemetery, Hamilton, with military honors conducted by the Hamilton American Legion Post #285.
Memorials may be made to the Hamilton American Legion or the Parkinson Foundation, in care of the funeral home.
Auron Ellsworth Cozad, 84, Hamilton, died May 26, 2004, at the Missouri Veteran’s Home in Cameron.
Mr. Cozad was born on Aug. 16, 1919, in Hamilton, to Homer E. and Ethel Creekmore Cozad.
He lived in Hamilton most of his life.
Mr. Cozad, a farmer, served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the American Legion Post #285 both of Hamilton.
On Nov. 17, 1945, he married E. Eileen Howard in Hamilton. She died in 1988.
He was also preceded in death by an infant brother, and daughter, Barbara E. Lund.
Survivors include two sons, John of St. Joseph, and Ronald of Burnsville, Minn.; one daughter, Marcia Payne, Kansas City; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
