Don Ohlberg, assistant bridge supervisor, met with the commission reporting routine tube replacements.
Bills were audited and paid.
David Tolen attended a SEMA meeting in Maryville on May 12.
Engineering contract for BRO-BO31(26) was signed with Snyder and Associates.
The pre-construction hearing convened at 10:30 today. Present were Snyder and Associates, Missouri Department of Transportation, Decker construction, Century Tel, and Farmers’ Electric. The BRO-031(25) project will be delayed until Aug. 2, 2004, because of a delay in the shipment of steel I-beams. Decker and Construction will forward their surety bonds and proof of insurance to the county.
Final plans were approved for bridge 45500071, BRO project (23) over Big Muddy Creek and authorization granted for the bidding process to proceed.
The commission reinspected the brush control complaint in Sheridan Township on Unity Avenue. They determined that the landowner had not removed the brush satisfactorily. The previous contractor will be asked to submit another bid.
Dallas Lowrey, Benton Township Trustee, contacted the commission regarding the township equipment grant. They have previously filed the 2003 financial statement, meeting the requirements for a partial grant.
