Debbie Zabica, Executive Director of Girl Scouts of the Midland Empire, has received notice that the council has been awarded the For Every Girl Everywhere certificate for outstanding membership achievement. Girl Scouts of the Midland Empire had over a 5% increase in membership for the 2003 membership year. Daviess County had an 11% increase in membership.
Kathy Cloniger, Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts of the USA, said, “ We recognize that it takes extensive planning and coordination by both staff and volunteers to achieve such outstanding membership success. With these achievements, Girl Scout councils create an organization that is effective and influential and provide
opportunities for girls to become courageous and strong.”
Zabica expressed her thanks to the hard work of the volunteers and staff, which made this prestigious award possible.
