Business: The First Steps” seminar
The Small Business Development Center in Chillicothe is sponsoring a “Starting A Small Business: The First Steps” seminar in Chillicothe on May 7. If you’ve been thinking about starting a new business, or expanding your business, this is the class for you!” said Lucinda
Turner, director of the Chillicothe SBDC.
This class will be on Friday, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Chillicothe City Hall, 715 Washington St. This seminar is recommended before you seek counseling assistance from the Small Business Development Center.
The three-hour course will cover topics such as: evaluating a business idea, researching the demographics of the area, developing a business plan, choosing a legal formation, paying taxes, marketing and positioning your business, financing the business and exit strategies. Handouts and reference materials will be furnished.
The cost is $25 payable at the door, and reservations may be made with Lucinda Turner at the SBDC by calling 660-646-6920.
